Job Overview

We are looking to hire a dynamic individual for the position of Head of Marketing in our company. The Head of Marketing will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of our organisation’s marketing, advertising and brand communication strategies.  It is a senior role, reporting directly to the CEO.

The Head of Marketing will study marketplace indicators, track changes in supply and demand, identify potential customer segments and their current and future needs and monitor competition. His/her primary responsibility is to ensure our brand message is distributed across channels and to target audiences in order to meet sales objectives.

To be considered for this position, you must be an expert in market research, pricing strategies, product marketing, marketing communication, advertising and public relations, and not to forget the new age tools such as mobile platforms, videos and social media. Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire marketing department.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate marketing budgets in accordance to organisational goals.
  • Develop and implement marketing and advertising strategy for the organisation and for new and existing products or services.
  • Increase brand awareness and reach across multiple platforms.
  • Manage and refine the organisation’s social media presence.
  • Direct analytical data gathering and marketing/consumer test strategies.
  • Continually review changes to the market, consumer trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary.
  • Supporting sales and lead generation efforts by developing appropriate marketing plans and programs, and directing promotional support.
  • Working closely with the sales department to develop pricing strategies to maximize market share and profits.
  • Negotiate with media agencies and secure agreements on the production of promotional materials.
  • Provides short- and long-term market forecasts and reports by directing market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data.
  • Influences present and future sales by determining and evaluating current and future market trends.
  • Train, and manage marketing team, including conducting performance reviews.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in marketing and running a marketing team.
  • Extensive experience in sales, marketing, advertising and brand management.
  • Competent in managing budgets.
  • Demonstrated marketing campaign experience.
  • Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Professional work ethic.
  • Proven dynamic leadership and project management skills.
  • Strategic, innovative and creative personality with strong business acumen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field.
  • MBA preferred.
