Front End Developer

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a front-end developer for web and mobile applications to be part of our passionate team. You will work in a team environment to execute all aspects of software/site development cycles, right from gathering requirements to developing product code and maintenance.

You will play a pivotal role in the design and development of our best-in-class web and mobile products. In this role, you will be required to work in close association with the development team, designers, and information architects.

Job Responsibilities

Convert the original visual designs and concepts into front end HTML code.
Handle the front end development frameworks efficiently.
Designs and develop new websites and reviews the scope of the work.
Write functional requirement documents and specifications.
Create prototypes, mockups, and staging sites for review and feedback.
Maintain the existing websites and create HTML markups as per the layouts provided by the designing team.
Perform the usability tests, audits and be involved in validation, debugging, accessibility as well as maintenance and supporting functions of the website.
Optimise websites and application for maximum speed and scalability.
Develop and optimise cross platform front ends in CSS, HTML and JavaScript.
Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
Bring in a new insight in the process of planning and designing.
Maintain updated knowledge of the development industry and any advancement in technology.
Work with client services, sales, and the design team, and manage time across multiple projects and tasks in a deadline-driven, team environment.
Collaborate with members of the team including designers and back-end developers to improve functionality and user-friendliness of the web applications.

Job Requirements

Prior experience in front end development role.
Familiar with entire web development cycle including design, development and deployment.
Strong understanding of web markup including HTML5, CSS3.
Possess an advanced knowledge of web and mobile UX/UI.
Ability to interpret and implement web designs.
Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
Understand agile methodology and instil best practices into the process.
Basic knowledge of back-end development process.
Ability to solve problems and adapt quickly to new web design and application trends.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with designers, developers, and other relevant staff members or clients.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT or any related field.
