Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to join our team. The person will be responsible for controlling and verifying our company’s financial transactions.
You will be part of a dynamic team and will be reporting to the Corporate Controller. We want the person to be honest with a high level of integrity. Being responsible for or the day to day accounting duties, you should be able to ensure thorough accounting compliance/financial integrity.
As Corporate Accountant, you should be able to ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all the accounting tasks. Those who are interested in advancing their career and gaining further exposure to the field of corporate accounting; this is where you should be!
Job Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements to ensure compliance.
- Preparing consolidations and cash flow forecasts.
- Analysing revenue and expenditure trends of the company to assist in business decision-making.
- Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.
- Overseeing and reviewing audit files for half-year and full-year accounts.
- Identifying gaps and making recommendations for improvements.
- Working closely with management to prepare the monthly and annual budget according to schedule.
- Supporting month-end and year-end accounts closing process.
- Liaising with clients, financial professionals including auditors, tax professionals, legal providers on accounting tasks and corporate transactions.
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP principles.
Job Requirements
- Significant accounting experience preferably in the field of audit or business advisory.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and accounting procedures.
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements and consolidation procedures of multiple entities.
- Sound experience in general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Advance skills in use of accounting software packages and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and outstanding attention to detail.
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
- Honesty and integrity.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- BS degree in accounting, finance or any other relevant field.
- Relevant certification e.g. CMA or CPA will be preferred.
