Job Overview

Our company is looking for a well-experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide both operational and strategic support to the financial-related activities of the organisation. The Chief Financial Officer will report directly to the CEO, Director or President of the company and will be a key member of the senior leadership team of the company.

The role will be directly responsible for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, deal analysis and negotiations and investor relations. In addition to this, you will assist the Chief Operating Officer (COO) on all strategic and tactical matters related to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting business needs and securing new funding.

The ideal candidate is expected to be able to engage with staff at all levels of the organisation and exercise sound judgment. Job Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team.
  • Monitoring financial performance by measuring and analysing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Providing strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and new business opportunities.
  • Developing financial and tax strategies.
  • Overseeing day-to-day transactional activities.
  • Advising on long-term business and financial planning.
  • Ensuring effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory legislation for financial and tax reporting.
  • Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders.
  • Updating job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional events.

Job Requirements

  • At least 10 years’ experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams at all levels to produce results within tight timeframes and handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and result-orientation.
  • Ability to make and implement crucial recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance and any other related field.
  • An MBA or CPA is also highly desirable.
