Job Overview

We are seeking an Account Executive to act as a liaison between our company and a select group of clients. The account executive will be responsible to build sales by prospecting for new clients and generate income by nurturing existing customer relationships.

The account executive will manage all aspects of the account within his/her purview as well as perform executive duties including maintaining account records, such as order history and forecasting reports, as needed for the benefit of clients and the firm.

To be considered, you should have effective business communication skills to identify opportunities to deliver value to prospects and clients. Prior sales or customer service experience will be an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new clients to build sales.
  • Nurture existing client relationships to generate income.
  • Work with technical staff and product specialists where required to address client requirements.
  • Plan, develop and execute sales strategies, often to meet an established quota.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with third party and partner companies that may be required to deliver full solutions to clients.
  • Ensure personal attention to each client.
  • Document and maintain account records.
  • Conduct market research on competitors including product or service pricing and sales techniques.
  • Make sales presentations to potential clients.
  • Make presentations to senior managers and decision makers in the company.
  • Prepare bids and contracts.
  • Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge.
  • Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace.
  • Conduct all activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or any other related field.
  • Strong knowledge of business and finance.
  • Prior working experience in sales and customer service will be a plus.
  • Knowledge of the latest advertising and marketing trends.
  • Proficiency with numbers, budget and time management.
  • Ability to present ideas, negotiate and problem solve.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite as well as other internet tools and technologies.
